    The end is near. Reflecting on my Xanga experience.  It's been such a positive ride but I have a few regrets.

    I partially regret not being 100% authentic. I watered down my feelings at times because didn't want to appear weak. or I didn't want to hurt anyone. Or cause I didn't want to make my friends feel uncomfortable or worry about me.

    Getting wrapped up in the bullshit drama.  None of it deserved a second thought

    Forming fast friendships with some people.  I learned the hard way that there are a lot of crazies on Xanga  :/

    My next entry will be about positive experiences on Xanga. It will be a LONG entry :)

  • Birthday!

    Had such an amazing birthday!

    -Parents cut me a cake on Sunday and sang happy birthday to me
    -Went out Monday night to my favorite wine bar. Everyone bought me drinks and food and we all counted down til midnight.  The bartender has a huge crush on me so he was basically at my beck and call, making me special drinks and checking up on me constantly.  He overheard me talking about Spice Girls so he played a few of their songs at midnight which was awesome.
    -I had holiday comp time for working memorial day so I took off from work on my birthday. Slept in and my mom had all of these presents waiting for me downstairs. 
    -Went to the spa with my best friend for hot stone massages
    -Went out with my friends from high school that night. Got a little too drunk and someone stole my phone and left a bunch of people drunk messages ;)

    I had such a fun time.  My friends and family are amazing and definitely went out of their way to make my day super special.  Thanks to everyone who wished me a happy birthday, you rock! :) I'm 25!

  • I'll be 25 in a week :)

    I had a great year, despite a few hiccups.  I matured a lot, grew professionally, and gained more confidence.  I did a few things off my bucket list and added a lot of money to my savings account. I also learned to just roll with the punches and just ignore people's bullshit instead of freaking out like I used to.  I made a lot of great friends and even reunited with some old ones :)  

    I'm expecting great things for 25 year old Jenny. I'll be studying abroad, being a counseling intern an extremely reputable drug and alcohol agency, and hopefully I'll finally have my master's degree. 

    I'm really excited!

  • Dresses I'm selling

    A couple of people asked me to try on the dresses I'm selling so they could get an idea of what it looks like on an actual person.  Don't mind the messy hair and the bruise on my leg please :)

    I wore this dress once for an installation dinner.  It's a pretty mint green color and I paired it with pastel pinks.  Everyone loved it.  I paid 80$ for it so I'm probably not going to sell it for any less than 40$  I LOVE THIS DRESS. OH and it's a size medium, but it fit me well. 

    This dress is so cute but it was way too short for my taste.  Size small. 

    I wore this dress to a wedding three years ago and it's been sitting in my closet since.  It's from Forever21, so I'm probably going to sell it for 10-20 dollars. 

    Bought this dress two years ago and it still has tags on it.  Size medium.  Probably sell it for 10-20 dollars

    Not sure if I'm selling this one or not.  It's very figure flattering.

    I'll post more tomorrow, I'm getting into my sweatpants now :)

  • cleaning out my closet for Xanga

    as most of you know, Xanga may be closing down if we don't raise 60,000 dollars by July.  I'm going to try and sell some lightly used clothing and accessories to raise money.  I've never sold items online before so if anyone has any recommendations (whether I should use a bidding system, how to ship items for cheap, how to price items), I would really appreciate it. 

    Here is a small preview, I'll be posting more items, with suggested prices later on in the week.  Most of my clothes are size small, and my shoes are size 8s. 

    None of the shoes have been worn (which is why they're on my bed lol)

    I can model any of these for you so you can have a better idea of how they fit.

    I'm probably going to sell this beauty too. 

    I'm also going to sell my infamous plunging dress ;)

  • I will miss you guys

    The xanga community has been extremely kind to me.  You've all made me feel beautiful, lovable and special at times where I felt anything but.  You've helped me get through rough times and celebrated my victories with me. You've always supported me, offered me advice and motivation when I needed it. 

    I've met a lot of great people, many I consider life long friends.  I would write more, but I'm tearing up.  I fucking love you all.  I'm still all over the internet so I hope to keep in touch with you all through wordpress, tumblr, twitter and instagram.  Lovejennyy is my username for all of those accounts

    I have always wanted an orchid plant and was surprised with one as an early birthday gift.  I'm gonna take good care of you!

    Hung out with a few xangans at the international food festival.  We ate pernil, chicharron, fried oreos, zeppoles, grilled beef, pork, and pizza.

    I'm officially down 16 pounds! I'm so happy with my results, I've lost fat, gained muscle and I still have my signature curves. 

    I'm not trying to lose any more weight, but I definitely plan on keeping a healthy and active lifestyle.  This summer is going to be so much fun! :)
