  • CUBA!

Cuba was the time of my life! I have so many thoughts and things I want to share with you. Unfortunately, I’m stressed out to the core because I’m pretty sure my passport was stolen :( I have to deal with expediting a new one because I’m leaving the country again next week.  Super expensive and confusing :/  Hopefully I’ll get everything straightened out tomorrow and can post a more elaborate post with more pictures (I literally took thousands of them)

  • Jenny, how was your passport stolen? Also what were your thoughts about being in Cuba? When I went to Laos years ago I was taken aback by the generosity of the entire community. Doors were unlocked. People invited me into their houses even though I was a stranger. Everybody was so accommodating. It took me weeks to let my guard down because I’m used to life here and how people are assholes haha.Going to Laos was like a time warp. Everything is so rustic and simple. Sprawling mountains and jungles. The days were so slow. I never felt so out of place especially with the culture shock. One thing to have family espouse cultural views but being in Laos gave it context. Hopefully things get resolved with your passport. Take care.

  • Beautiful. And the sights look great as well! Hopefully, your passport gets to you soon!

  • I’m glad you had fun!!! and I hope you get the passport stuff straightened out :(

  • I hope you get your passport back.I was in Cuba last year with my parents, we stayed in Varadero in a nice hotel and we visited Havana on a guided tour, which included a tour round cigar place. one bar which Hemingway’s drank at, we also had a drink at the hotel he stayed in. a bit of free time in HavanaIt was a certainly an eye opening, seeing locals queue outside the sops, our rep tried seven different shops for his little lad either for some a brand of milk or sweets which had liked. Even when we went to Mexico to Cancun 2009.2011 and Tulum 2010 Going to another part of Cuba this year.

  • I hope you got your passport situation fixed. I love that purple dress on you! Oh, and the painting on the hillside caught my eye, I can only imagine trying to get up high to do that, and Vinjalles is beautiful. Glad to hear you had some coffee and chocolate milk amongst all your rum, and that you had a great time. May your adventures never end.
