Never thought this day would come! I’m still in denial. 

I just wanted to say how thankful I am for Xanga and all of the wonderful bloggers here.  I’ve learned so much from all of you guys and without your support and encouragement, I don’t think I would be where I am today. I truly love you all! *tear*

I wrote everyone from my class an email saying how much fun I had and thanking everyone for a wonderful experience.  One of the ladies from my group wrote me back something so sweet!

Cuba was the time of my life! I have so many thoughts and things I want to share with you. Unfortunately, I’m stressed out to the core because I’m pretty sure my passport was stolen I have to deal with expediting a new one because I’m leaving the country again next week.  Super expensive and confusing :/  Hopefully I’ll get everything straightened out tomorrow and can post a more elaborate post with more pictures (I literally took thousands of them)

Haven’t done one of my weekend posts in a while. 

Decided to go to my first alumni event: a wine tasting tour out east.  It was only 60$ and it included transportation, tastings at 2 vineyards and a vodka distillery, lunch, and a tour of a rescue horse farm.  A really good value!

The following weekend I went to Manhattan to hang out with some friends (fellow Xangans!).  My friend, Ron took me to Eataly for the first time.  OMG, amazing, I want to go there every time I go into the city now.  Best prosciutto I’ve ever had

We met up with some other people afterward and went to this really cool dessert bar called Chikalicious.  It was kind of pricey, but worth it.  It’s the perfect place to go after a date.

 

 

The end is near. Reflecting on my Xanga experience.  It’s been such a positive ride but I have a few regrets.

I partially regret not being 100% authentic. I watered down my feelings at times because didn’t want to appear weak. or I didn’t want to hurt anyone. Or cause I didn’t want to make my friends feel uncomfortable or worry about me.

Getting wrapped up in the bullshit drama.  None of it deserved a second thought

Forming fast friendships with some people.  I learned the hard way that there are a lot of crazies on Xanga  :/

My next entry will be about positive experiences on Xanga. It will be a LONG entry
