I put down the deposit for my school’s travel abroad program! I’m excited for this opportunity and I know it will be one I’ll never forget!

Thank you to everyone who gave me advice, and urged me to take a step out of my comfort zone.

This is something you will never regret. Quite to the contrary. The things you will see and learn, and the organic experience of feeling this country with your senses, will be in your subconscious mind, and your memory forever. What you are going to see is the country that has evolved from a Marxist Revolution that is synonymous with the life of one man, Fidel Castro.

Castro was educated here, and came from the upper crust of society in Cuba.

Read as much history as you can about Havana, and all of the things you see will have more resonance.
